At the best universities in India, there are currently more than a hundred MBA/PGDM specialisations available. Yes! There are numerous MBA programmes from which to pick. Even fewer ice cream flavours than you may expect are probably not available in town. However, the MBA is THE degree that employers are looking for the most.
Now, one needs to have received a bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50% to be eligible to apply for an MBA degree. Additionally, the applicant must have taken at least one MBA admission exam, such as the CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, SNAP, CMAT, IIFT, or IBSAT, as well as any other university entrance exam. The coursework for all streams of students pursuing an MBA in the first year is the same.
HOWEVER, JUST WHAT DOES AN “MBA SPECIALISATION” MEAN?
A student obtaining an MBA is offered a wide range of electives to choose from in the fields of finance, human resources, marketing, and other areas. The student receives an MBA with a specialisation in that particular field upon successfully completing the collection of elective courses related to that particular field.
MBA specialisations in finance, marketing, human resources, logistics, operations, and entrepreneurship are typically the most well-liked and in-demand. But because of ongoing technological advancements and developments, there are more opportunities than ever before in a wide range of sectors. Because of this, MBA colleges are now offering specialisations in other rapidly developing industries like rural management, healthcare, tourism and hospitality, digital marketing, and more in order to stay ahead of the curve.
